Sadie-Rose is still working on this new adventure of sleeping in a big girl bed.
For awhile Mike and I were getting up to comfort her 5-6 times a night.
(This did no include baby boy feedings and changings and burpings and crib lying downs.)
We thought we had come up with a clever solution
by having Olivia slip into bed with her after she had fallen asleep.
It was working rather well
and we were only getting up 1-2 times a night with her,
until last night.
(The novelty of sleeping with another person in the bed had worn off
and Olivia has fallen back into her bed-hogging ways.)
Around 11:30 last night I was woken from a dead sleep
by the heart-broken cries of a little girl.
I reached over to wake Mike and all I could say was,
"She's crying."
His response was, "huh? Who's 'she?'"
I lay there for a second and several names ran through my head
but I knew none of them were right
so I looked up at him and said,
"I can't remember her name."
And that my friends, should be enough to let you know how little brain power he and I are functioning on right.
Pray for us...
or more for our kids! :)

Oh my goodness, Mama! I am laughing here with great recognition and sympathy! Great post.
i'm still chuckling, Fairlight, this made my morning! I'm praying for you and Mike, I remember how hard it was with one, can't imagine 3! just remember (this helped me with Richard)in a month or two, this will have passed, all your little ones will be sleeping through the night, in a year or two it will be hard to remember these long agonizing nights, and one day they will be so grown up that you will miss these days...
Oh do I ever remeber those days. You'll get through it Fairlight!!
Oh dear me...I hate to admit how hard this made laugh, because that sounds terribly unsympathetic...but I think it's because I can totally picture this being a conversation between David and I, in the middle of the night...but you'll be laughing at us soon, cause it's our turn next. xo
Ahh I'm with you.
Mine was never a good sleeper and now pays us a visit each night and just crawls in between us.
It's all cute and all but I'm a very light sleeper and hardly feel rested after that....
fun! (add a bit of sarcasm to that ;)
xo
totally laughing! you poor things! : ) {but I am wondering who is making you thermoses of
chai tea?! : ) }
I'm actually crying, I'm laughing so hard...my husband can vouch for me. It's sympathy laughter, though--I'll definitely be praying for the two "he's" and three "she's" in your family!! xoxo

its so funny...
I mean not in a laughing at you sort of a way.. but in a laughing with you... yeah yeah..
