Our {blue} Wednesday

The blues, the moody blues...
I'm definitely not taking the "less is more" approach
here am I?
Sorry.

Now, it's on to the greens!
Happy hunting!

note: I found this link while looking through House on Hill Road's achives.
Guess I'm not the only one who has had this idea!

Our {yellow} Tuesday

I learned two things while doing this color.
1. We had more yellow in our house than I realized, so it wasn't that hard.
2. We use a lot of Burt's Bees stuff.

Our {pink} Monday

Finding pink things around our house was not hard.
The hard part was deciding what to take pictures of!

Now, on to the yellows!
We will definitely have to "hunt"for those!

A 1st...

She giggled.
Yep, she really did.
I almost cried, it was so sweet.
Giggling 9 week old babies are the best.
I love being a mommy.
I love being her mommy.
I wouldn't give up my job for all the money in the world
and have to miss out on these special times.

Giggling little girls = a happy mommy <3

Our {white} Sunday

Here is our {white} Sunday.
We saw lots more, but this is all we took pictures of.
If you are playing along, please leave us a link in the comments!

Toothpaste is white (our's anyways.)

The milk {before the chocolate}

A nice big stack of diapers.

Our coffee table covered in Bibles, our Cleansing Stream workbooks, reference books, a burp cloth, and Mike's favorite mug. :)

One of my church's and a stack of books on top
of the bookcase.

The ivory's on the piano.

The lace on the cloth on the couch side table.

The entry way table with night-light angel and lamp.

A picture is worth a thousand words...

So many things to say all in this one post. If it gets all garbled, please excuse me.

1. One of my goals for 2008 is to take more pictures. Lots of pictures. (to which my husband rolls his eyes as I took well over 2,000 pictures last year and downloaded onto our computer) So I've been working on that goal. Taking lots of pictures, trying to do better, capture the moments better. I stalk flickr constantly, loving to learn new ideas and tips as well as studying Leslie's photos and always hoping she will share even more knowledge. I love to learn. I love to grow. I love a challenge. And I love photography and desperately want to pursue it more. That is why I just have to share #2 and #3. Read #4 at your own risk.

2. Design Mom did a post on a new website/blog called Shutter Sisters this morning. I checked it out since it has everything to do with taking pictures and photography. I'm so excited about this thing! It's amazing. If you love photography, if you take lots of pictures, or if you just like to see others amazing pictures- this is the place to go. Make sure you check out all the sidebars and their flickr page. Very cool stuff in there.

3. Leslie shared a very neat link the other day too. It's another new blog called Project Overlooked and I love the idea behind it. You will probably be seeing some of the suggested challenges here on my blog. If you ever wonder why I'm blogging about a coffee mug or my sock drawer, you'll know why (maybe.) I'm really hoping to get involved, at least in a small way, with some of her ideas and suggestions.

4. Last night Olivia and I were reading a color book together at bedtime (no, not a coloring book, a color words book) and after reading the description of each color word and looking at the illustrations we tried to think of as many things that were that color and name them (limes are green, mom's sewing room is painted green, cabbage and broccoli and green beans and bell peppers and brussel sprouts are all green, etc.) Then inspiration struck and after talking it over with her, we decided to take each color in the book, one a day for each day of next week, and find as many things that one day that were that one color and take pictures of them and then post it in the evening to share with all of you. And we would love for any and all of you that want to, to join us in the color hunt. Here are the colors per day list.
Sunday-white
Monday-pink
Tuesday-yellow
Wednesday-blue
Thursday-green
Friday-orange
Saturday-red
(And yes, I know there are a lot of other colors out there besides these, but we are going to start with these 7 and go from there.)

And that, my friends, in a rather large nutshell is what has been swirling around in my brain this morning. I just had to share, link to, and put it down on paper so I wouldn't forget. I hope you all get as inspired as I am. I maybe back later today with another post about my 2008 goals (I've finally finished them!) but then again, I may sign off for the weekend. Love to you all!

Last week in pictures...

...and a few words.

yes, my child is laying in a laundry basket
in the bathroom
with the mobil clamped on.
Anything to take a shower without her crying.

I finally got our Christmas decorations put away.
I rolled our lights into balls after being inspired by
this post and the accompanying pictures.
I love the way they look.

Getting to actually craft and try out these shirts
after being inspired some many times by this lady.
(Check out her "In the sewing room" category and you'll see why)
The shirts turned out great. We'll be doing lots more of these.

Dinner at a friend's house.
It was the first time they had seen Sadie~Rose
We snapped this picture of Olivia Morgan and Olivia Day
in their matching shirts (that I made) and holding Sadie~Rose.
Aren't they all so cute?

Lovely week.
Full of challenges,
but full of joy too.
